Braveheart or Sweetheart
Braveheart pieces were inspired by the sweet dog who was victim to despicable abuse, found nearly starved to death and discarded in a dumpster. His heroic Wisconsin rescuers named him “Braveheart.” He was released from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in Madison Wisconsin into a foster home and his foster moms have decided to make their home his forever home!
The idea for a Braveheart tie tack came from Braveheart's rescuer, Marti because men love animals too and have supported and cared for dear Braveheart. She also had a certain special doctor in mind, Dr. Foy, Braveheart's Veterinarian. What a wonderful job he did!
I envisioned a rustic firepainted heart for this piece because to me it looked like a protective shield.
I "fire-paint" until I see something magical happening so each one is a surprise and perfectly imperfect. Color is protected with a top grade, permanent gloss lacquer.
I am thrilled that Braveheart is now safe and in his forever home and now have learned of another dog who needs our help. Her name is Sweetheart and she is an elderly abandoned girl with a multitude of medical issues. I will create a lapel pin similar to the Braveheart tie tack.
25% of the purchase of either the Braveheart or Sweetheart Tie Tack/Lapel Pin will go directly to Sweetheart's care. Learn more about Sweetheart here:
